Well done, Glenn. Never thought of tinfoil before: bendy, reusable....
Yep, been using it for years. Tried sarin wrap but it attracted the overstay and somtimes it snuck in. Must be staticly chargd

Most excellent work!
P-40 twin, P-47 twin, what's next....a P-51 twin?
It's on my to do list. I have a Modelcraft F-82 in the stash waiting to be sliced up. An f-82 will work better that a P-51D. Longer fuselage. More wing to work with.
I posted drawings of it near the end of the twin P-40 thread, one using a P-51D and one an F-82.

I put the decals on last night, all from the Academy kits with the exception of those on the nose. That big expanse was crying out for something, so I dug through my decal stash and came up with this from a 1/48th P-51H kit. The Academy decals were a great improvement from the last time I used them on one of these kits, they were very thin and settled down perfectly. the only thing negative I have to say about them is that they didn't want to move around once they were placed and I ripped the first star I used trying to move it into place. At least I had multiple decal sheets at my disposal to replace it.
I also painted the engines and mounted them. Not too much detail but should be enough once the cowls are on
