Looking to see if anyone has scale drawings or good line drawings of this type of engine hoist, not sure if this was a 1 size fits all type of equipment, but photos of P-38 and A-20 engines in the Pacific look to be the same style as used on B-17s in UK.

I haven't had a lot of luck finding the PN of this hoist either, but would also like to know! I'll look find an actual some more and post if I find anything.
Thanks I have found a few photos of it, and Shep Payne scratchbuilt one for his Monogram P-61 diorama back in the 70s but just trying to find an actual drawing with dimensions. Would live to 3d print one of these to 1/48 scale!

Tyler Fixture Company, Model A2A... Stock number R89-H-660525. 3000 pound capacity and is 17 feet 4 inches tall. All tubular steel, hand winch with two speeds, manual brake and safety dog to lock the drum. Winch is s Sasgen B5T. From the Class 89 Aug 44 catalog.

Dave, with the height dimension, you should be able to use those photos and scale the leg dimensions out and come up with some decent drawings. Figure that none of the tube sections are longer than 10 feet. In Wurger's post #10, you can see the splice coupling in the left photo for the run down to the forward wheel.

The height of the hoist would fit my measurement using the pic of the C-47 and the B-26. For the first pic it is ~521,55 cm while in the second shot it is ~539,48. The 17 feet and 4 inches is 528,32 cm and the difference is caused by the different angle both images were taken with.

PS. IMHO the base for the wheels is a triangle of sides definited by the wheelbase. For the rear ones ~332,45cm, for the front one ~402,6cm.

Additionally ... the main triangle with the rear wheels was made of thicker tubes than the one of the diamond shape. The traingle base without of the wheels seems to be about 317,2cm. The length of the triangle arms should be about the 555,59cm. The horizontal bar there should be about 193,25cm from the triangle tip.
 
For a cross check, you can use Dave's 4th photo and get a close dimension on the upper crossbar. Knowing that and the rough height will give you the angle of the front legs relative to the hoist center line. Also, the wheels are probably 10 inches in diameter, so that will help too.

I have used both the C-47 and the B-26 pics as the refference. Regarding the wheel diameter you are correct. According to both pics these were of 27-30cm in diameter what is ~10.6-12 inches. The angle of the main triangle seems to be 30-45°. I'll make a diagram.

But seriously now .. I have to check a couple of dimensions more and then the full diagram has to be drown. But I'm a little bit busy these days so the project have to wait a little bit. But if I find some of the spare one I may try to put it to the end.
