This is a pic of the USS New York. According to the paper, it has something
like 28 tons of steel that was salvaged from "ground zero" in NYC, as part
of it. (It looks like an artist's rendition, to me).

Yeah that has to be an artists rendition because the USS New York is still under construction. It is true however that they used metal salvaged from the World Trade Center to build her. Below is an actual pic of the USS New York back:
