Does anyone know the W.Nr of the G6/R6 w9+I flown by Rudolf Moycis ?

Why not a G-6/R6. Remember that for the Bf 109 G-6, Rüstsatz 6 was 20 mm underwing canons. They were also often called Kanonenvogel...

This particular one is even more: G-6 R3/R6/Trop (R3 for the 300L belly tank).
AFAIR the White 8 from the same 7. Staffel was from the same subtype.

Who said that this is a different aircraft type? I didn't.
Mea maxima culpa about the wrong writing! I was never good at it....
When I pronounce it, it's always Ge-sechs-er-drei-er-sechs-trop, gell.

Absolutely right - but you see it/read it all the time nowadays. The mod kit was never part of the type designation .. ever
