Many people seems think that german only had 1.8ATA K4 in combat.
and they said the info and datas from Kurfurst - Your resource on Messerschmitt Bf 109 performance were made up by the onwer.
Anyone can help me out here?

this is the one shows that k4 were using 1.98 and 1.8 end of 1944

but it was not long unit 1.20.1945 german stop using 1.98 at front line

Kurfurst - Your resource on Messerschmitt Bf 109 performance date says that german fixed the problem with db605dc and had it back to 1.98ata after march 1945
but i could not find any document for it.

There is also speed date for 1.98ata on Kurfurst - Your resource on Messerschmitt Bf 109 performance here

Oh dear, now you have done it. A dozen 1.98ata K-4s were operationally tested by II./JG11 in late Dec '44 and early Jan '45. Some flew during Bodenplatte. It wasn't cleared for operational use until late March '45. The problem at that time was the availability of C3 and methanol. C3 was required by the BMW powered Fw190s.

A forum search should find some discussion ??? on the subject.

The problem with Kurfurst's website and data is the whole story isn't shown. It's easy to edit and clip things to show the results you want to show.

If I don't see a build number on what people show; then I either try to find that piece of data not clipped or if I can't find it, then I dismiss it.

If you desire to look at more data and such on the 109, then have a gander at my Google Drive folder.

The problem is that simply it is unknown, if 1.98 ATA powered Kuerfurst reached front line service.

They were tested and ready and their use was planned for some squadrons, according to availability, during last weeks of war, but there's no evidence that it became reality. At site you refer to, I think there are already all available info that however bring at the above mentioned dead point.

Anyway, their number was so limited (and for such a short time), that their significance in any scenario I think is negligible; I never introduced them in my IL-2 1946 campaigns.
