Many years ago a google search returned some amazing photos of vintage cockpits like the ones below. Now, google does not recognize these files. Has anyone came across the original website, which published them and could provide the URL? Presumably, this website it's gone with the wind as of now...

I see. However I doubt the filenames of the images may be found by the google, especially if these were a part of a database. In other words if you want to find them you have to use the same keywords you used in order the Google can return the results of its searching.

Yes, and note that Government websites are the absolute worst when it comes to continuity and you expect that to be the reverse situation. That is a sign of people being put in charge of websites when they have no interest in doing the job.

If you have the site name and the year(s) it was up, try the Wayback Machine at Internet Archive.
I found my (now extinct) Legends In Their Own Time site there; seems to be complete.

If you meant the website below, the images are undoubtedly cool.
Browsing the files on a couch is much safer than visiting that very cockpit where one can be exposed to dosage equal to multiple x-rays.

The wayback machine did not help.
Guys, I finally found the source of the said photos using ordinary text query in google for the avionics depicted on them: Westin's Classic General Aviation 1940 to 1965
However, some better quality copies of the images from that very website must have appeared in google search, too. I presume their source could be flick. Flick unfortunately has a temperamental function and I am unable to locate them now.
I don't think the idea here is identification - but this cockpit photo looks a lot like the Twin Cessna I flew for a corporation. Great airplane!

There are guys out there who were also flying these birds 70 years ago and servicing their avionics. Yet, they keep these legacy avionics pieces at home for nostalgia, and even keep them operational to show to their friends.
