What cloud services do you trust

Having lost some 8tb of data, including from the incremental backups I was keeping, I have now decided to try a cloud backup on top of my on site backup hard drives. Where we are at present the fastest internet is 25mb but in reality for much of the day it struggles to get 10% of that. It is fastest between 23:00 and 04:00 when most people are asleep.

Can members who have cloud backup please provide the pros and cons of the service they use.

My preferences are to avoid any service that is:

• associated with an AI company (because they cannot be trusted - far too much confidential information between users and AI providers ends up in the public arena and/or in court) See my post yesterday in AI Fails.
• owned by an American company (the Aus government found 4-5 years ago that confidential information that US vendors were storing for the AU government was being stored in the USA, not AU, and was accessible by the vendor and US governments.

Not negotiable is that the service supports Linux.

Storj, mega.nz Hetzner, Infomaniak are all pretty solid, although Mega used to be kinda sketchy

That would be good if I was staying in this house but we are planning on moving soon after xmas and the new house has a server with 60tb of disc space in RAID configuration. I am strongly considering enabling remote access to that to "fix" my backup problem even tho I hate the potential AI hacks that follow with internet access.

The intermittent power supply destroyed 11.8 of the 16tb in the old computer - all of which was backed up in the same computer - because the software I was using for backup copies every change on each master disc to that discs mirror and when the power supply killed a file the same file was delieted from the backup. In multiple cases a complete directory was deleted this way.

For the six months I am leaning towards cloud backup which I still consider unsafe but at $700 for the new 6tb disc and $290 for the new 1tb SSD system disc adding discs gets expensive very fast.
