What is the right size wire for 1/72 and 1/48

I want to but lead wire to add detail to engines cockpits etc, what size wire is suitable for 1/72 and 1/48. I guess that would be different depending on whether it's electrical or hydraulic so I'll get va few different sizes.

The 0.2mm is very fine a breaks easily but probably the right thing for 1/72.

What size would you suggest for the bundle of yellow wires like those seen in this picture? 1:48 scale.

I don't know wire size but I take apart every broken electric appliance or toy and strip the wiring, all sorts of sizes available

If we assume that the wire diameter with its insulation in the pic is about 3-4mm the diameter for the 1/48 scale would be 0,06-0,08mm.

It can be represented with the thinnest fishing thread you can buy. Twist it then apply thin CA glue. My 1/48 Me 262 used this:

Thanks for the tips. In the end I tore apart an old Cat5 cable I had laying around and stripped out the strands, dipped them in yellow paint.

The gunsight cable is one strand. The wiring to the control column was 2 strands lightly twisted together. The gunsight wiring is probably still a little bigger than it should be for scale.

How do you usually glue the ends in like you did on that Me-262? Dip into a bit of CA glue?
