Sort of, P-38s outboard guns are about 20in apart. FW 190 used a 52in dia cowl,Doesn't the Fw 190 have four guns within the propeller arc, counting the two inboard wing-guns?
Wing root guns were around 6 ft apart, better than guns outside the propeller arc but not at all the close spacing of the guns on a V-12 powered fighter.
Germans used electrically primed ammo to make synchronization easier and less loss of rate of fire.
109s used normal primed 20mm ammo with a complication in ammo supply/logistics.
P-39 fuselage was small compared to P-47. Inner P-47 guns were 47.7in below the line of sight. How about a Hurricane IIB or IIC? Wing guns on a P-39?
F4U was pretty bad.
P-47's inner most guns were just about 18ft apart.
