My brother purchased this prop some time ago, he was told it was from Jersey, land or sea reclaimed I'm not sure but it is in good condition with just a few areas of corrosion towards the end of the blade. The propeller also has ID text on the blade but some have rubbed off, I can make out the following but may have guessed some of the letters wrong! Sorry about the image being upside down!
SATZWEISE AUSTAUSCHBAR
9-12153-13
SATZ NR 3-buf 31203

It's possible but also likely that such a blade might have been used by a few different aircraft. Some here can tell you based on the 9- number and hopefully they will chime in.

Thanks you two for your help, 👍

Hi, it looks like I have the same blade (rather Fw190) at home but I would identify the ID text on the blade as follows:
Satzweise Austauschbar
9-12153 B
Satz Nr. 3-buf 42639

Who can confirm that, and if so what is the difference between 9-12153A and 9-12153B blade type? the Width?

Hi Tom thanks for posting as I now can confirm that ours is also a B and not 13 as I originally thought, overall the condition of your blade is fantastic just a pity about the tip. Thanks again.

Hi Richard,
Unfortunately, you have gone a little wrong here. The Blades are correctly stamped 9-12153.13 on their base. They are listed for the Fw190A-B with BMW 801C/D engine. The 9-12153.13 blades are specifically for use with additional balance weights that fasten on near the blade roots and reduce the load on the pitch change mechanism. When built as a complete propeller unit or "GERAT" this would be the 9-12153B assembly, as stencilled on Tom's blade, although that stencilled number refers to the complete assembly.
Also, similar blades that are not made for the weights are listed as the 9-12153.10 and they are used in a complete assembly that is the 9-12153A.
These two types of propeller Gerat (A or B) can be used on the same listed Fw190A-B with BMW 801C/D engine, according to the VDM data.
Cheers

Hi Tom,
I have tried to explain the details of these blades in a reply just above to Richard.
Cheers
