1/48 Airfix Sea Fury

Picked up the new tooled 1/48 Airfix Sea Fury Saturday and could not wait to start on it. Fantastic kit and fun to build. This is where i am as as of Saturday. Just some sanding to do, mask and install canopies. Should have primer on her the end of the week

That's beautiful. However, what the h*ll am I supposed to do with my Hobbycrap Sea Furies now?

Good stuff. I'm tempted to get one to go alongside my old Hobbycraft Sea Fury, which had a bit of work and additions, including folding the wings.

Use these for some experimenting, build straight from the box. I got a few older kits lined up as "Guinia Pigs" to test all sorts of finishes, masks, weathering techniques etc...(as I don't want to ruin the more expensive/aftermarket filled kits in my stash) In my experience these "try-out's" usually come out great and end up in the display cabinet next to my other models.
Or I use them for a quick build as most of these older kits have less parts and are a good way to clear your mind.
And recently I started using these "unwanted models" to introduce my sons to the hobby. Seamed to have worked as they both are enjoying it.
