Shown here is the Ar 197V3 which was considered as a fully-fledged production prototype fitted with full naval equipment and armament for the proposed Ar 197A shipboard fighter, but shortly after it commenced its flight test programme at Travemunde the RLM became aware of the development of shipboard fighter monoplanes abroad ans further work was abandoned.
