Shown here is Lancaster B.Mk.I, (W4232) of No.57 Sqd, based at East Kirkby, early in 1943. It later served with No.1660 HCU at Swinderby, and No.50 Sqd at Skellingthorpe. It fininshed its life with No.5 LFS (Lancaster Finishing School) at Syerston, where it suffered structural failure and broke up in mid-air on 17th April, 1944.
