Shown here is the first Bv 138B-0 after its conversion from the Bv 138A-04 being towed on its transport trolley by a tractor at Blohm und Voss' new Finkenwerder factory. Note the shaped metal fairing that was fitted pending availability of a new turret for the 20 mm (0.79 in) MG 151/20 cannon.
