Shown here is a F6F-3 Hellcat fighter coming into land aboard the carrier USS Lexington (CV-16) after taking part in the 'Marianas Turkey Shoot', on the 19th June, 1944. Note the full-manned 40 mm Bofors guns in the foreground, and 20 mm Oerlikons along the starboard side of the flight deck.
