Shown here is the submarine HMS Thrasher towing X5, commanded by Lieutenant H. Henty-Creer, out off Loch Cairnbawn in north-west Scotland on 11 September 1943. This X-Craft was lost on the final approach to Kaa fjord on 21/22 September, from unknown reasons but posiibly enemy gunfire. Ref: ADM 199/888
