Good picture. A Bf 109 G-6Trop at the main airfield Comiso, southern Sicily in early 1942. Note the fuselage access hatch is fitted upside down. The Germans left in such a hurry that there seem to have been a few aircraft left behind. Has anyone got a report of the capture and conditions at Comiso when captured?
