Originally known as Preceptor the Proctor Mk IV was a four seat radio trainer (although many were later employed for General communiucation duties or with dual controls for pilot training).
All but eight of the 258 Mk.IVs completed were built by the subcontractor-F. Hills and Son of Manchester.
