Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I

Shown here is an ex-Turkish Spitfire Mk.I, carrying the impresment serial HK856 at El Ballah in Egypt in mid-1942. As only two Spitfire Mk.Is were exported pre-war to Turkey, this would appear to be either P9566 or P9567.
