Shown here is a Spitfire Mk.I of No.609 Sqd based at Drem in late 1939 or early 1940. This aircraft still has the original radio mast, but bulletproof glazing has been fitted to the windscreen. It also has black under the port wing only and not to the fuselage undersides.
