Shown here is a Spitfire Mk.VB, SH-E, of No.64 Sqd based at Hornchurch returning to dispersal during the winter of 1941/42. Note the groud crew personnel riding on the wing-tips to help steady the aircraft over rough ground, and for assisting in turns.
