Shown here is the Type XX111 boat U-2359, commanded by Oberleutnant zur See Gustav Bischoff, under attack by a Mosquito F. B.Mk. V1 aircraft. This action occurred on 2 May 1945 when Squadron Leader A. G. Deck led thirty-five Mosquitoes of 143, 235, 248, 333 (Norwegian) and 404 (RCAF) from the Banff Strike Wing on an anti-shipping sweep over the Kattegatt. Ref: AIR 26/597
