Shown here is Liberator GR Mk.VIII (KK294) flown by Flight Lieutenant H. M March, of No.59 Squadron, based at Ballykelly, Northern Ireland, circles the Type VIIC/41 boat U-293 commanded by Kapitanleutnant Leonard Klingspor, on the surface off the Hebrides, about 50 miles north of the island of St Kilda. it was flying the black flag of surrender.
