Hi, New member here.
I am just curious about Luftwaffe Pilots preference/opinion of their autocannon. Did they prefer MG 151/20 more than MK 108?
Thanks.
Has ISIS, Boko Haram, Taliban etc. made much use of heavy machine guns or automatic cannon for anti-aircraft protection?? Or do they mostly rely on shoulder fired anti-aircraft rockets for protection against air strikes???
Hello everyone,
A while back I stumbled on this photo of an unusually camouflaged Me 262. This photo intrigues me. If anyone has any information or insights about this Me 262 I'd love to know! The squiggle-type camouflage was usually applied to reconnaissance Me 262s, so at first glance I'm...
In the thread about a turbocharged P-36 there was some discussion about improvements to the P-39 - mainly armament and some suggestions about the engine.

Although the cannon ports are clear of the front of the tank, the spent cases ejector ports are covered by the huge fitting, so I'm guessing that the...
Okay, let's say we discard the concept of a revolving auto-cannon and imagine Germany attempts to make revolving cannon based off of the Gatling gun design. Do you think they could have pulled it off?
Also would would one cannon producing a volley of bullets be more effective than multiple...
Or at least early war.
Figure if we can have a thread about the "Effect of the R4M rocket being invented pre-war" we could do the same for US production of the Hispano-Suiza HS.404R4M 20mm cannon - not an unreasonable expectation.
The Type 327 was an updated version of the Type 324, which was proposed to the F.18/37 specification which led to the Typhoon.
The main difference between the Type 324 and Type 327 is that the former's 12 x 0.303" in the outer wing panels were replaced by 6 x 20mm cannon in the wing roots, as...
