The reason for a 51b is the museum the hurricane is at is on the grounds of an ALG that operated 51b's during the war. The spinner will be tricky

Back then, for the P-51, we'd planned on building up a mould, using timber formers and plywood discs, covered in plaster, then moudling the spinner in glass fibre.
We chose a 'B' or 'C' model as we reckoned such areas as the canopy would be much easier to fabricate, being shallower curves and panels, compared to a 'D' variant. Plus, we both preferred the look of the 'razorback', compared to the 'D'.
For your Hurricane spinner, if you decide not to mould it yourself, you could probably obtain one from somewhere like 'Gate Guards'.

Bit more done today. Whilst wandering around the museum today I found the nose come from a sea mine. Turns out its a perfect fit as a spinner. Its badly battered so I will try and straighten it out and take a copy from it. I've also got some shape to the tail section and made the tailplanes. Obviously I need to rib them but the main shape is there

Made the port tailplane today. Its removable and slides in and out on 3 posts. With both tailplanes fitted the width exceeds 9 foot so these need to be removable to transport it
