Hello, I've already placed the engine on it and decide to take a picture before it's hidden beneath the cowling. That kit is lego even if a little puty was neccesary on some places. I detailled the set a bit even if not much is visible.

I plan to do yoshio yoshida plane from the kit box art with the red tail since it's what today research say on this plane.

On the landing gear and tailwheel, is it fine to them metal color?
Thanks for your answers, I did the primer today.

before making research, I actually thought the holes were injection pins, good thing I didn't removed them.

There are two small doors behind the wheel well, covering some mechanism that comes out - in the photos I posted above it's in the right lower corner and how these doors work is shown on the left side. Those should be open when a/c is on the ground. I believe Hasegawa's model has these 2 doors as separate parts. I have the old Otaki-kit and those are molded closed, which is wrong.

if I'm using aotake , should I also paint the tialwheel bay in the same color? hasegawa gave nakajima interior green for the bay.

The instructions in the Otaki-kit are also for "army green" wheel bays for example. It is possible green was used in the earlier Ki.44-I variants. Hasegawa in their own instructions for 1:48 and 1:32 models gives "silver" or "aotake" for the wheel bays - check attached instructions. Not sure which model do you have exactly - they might have changed the instructions for their models at some point. I would go aotake.
