Fresh off the bench 1/48 Tamiya P-51B Mustang, 43-7060 "Tommy's Dad*, 74th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group,14th Air Force, flown by John C. "Pappy" Herbst, Liuchow (China), 1944. Decals from ICM kit . I used Mr color , Tamiya Acrylics and Tamiya LP paints on this . Weathered with future wash and oil wash .

When IS Tamiya going to make a cuffed Hamilton Standard prop for the P-51 that actually is a correct rendering of the shape of the blades. Their blades have the wrong profile and the base of the cuff is too far from the spinner.

This build is otherwise PERFECT, and the prop "situation" is definitely NOT the fault of the very skilled modeler who built it!

I never knew there was a shape issue 🤔
