1/48 Zvezda Yak-3

Hi old friends,
After building Japanese planes integrated in big dioramas and vignettes for almost a decade I decided to turn to Soviet ww2 thematology. I knew I'd feel more at home now since I know Russian people quite well and a little of their language too as my wife comes from Yekaterinburg, Russia.My first attempt was the speedy little Yak-3 and below are some photos of the finished model. However, the project is not done yet as the model will be part of a vignette depicting an autumn 1944 Russian airfield, so stay tuned for more. Any kind of question is welcome!

Amazing detail and a great job. What blows me away is the quality of some 1:48 scale kits. I grew up with the Monogram kits of the same scale and they were certainly no where near as detailed as that !

One question: What colors did you use?
I have a project similar to 1/32.
I plan to use Akan colors. What do you think about it?

Thank you for your comments! I don't use any other colors except for Gunze and Tamiya so I know nothing about Akan colors. For the undersides I used a mixture of light blue based on XF 23. Another mixture for the light Grey and H 331 Gunze for the dark Grey. Also I think XF 25 is the best option for the cockpit color.
