I have just realised I forgot to cut the leading edge for a landing light

Navigation and landing light cut outs done just need to fill them with lenses

I have been trying to get a more authentic finish to the exhaust collector ring. I started with a coat aluminium paint mixed with black. Then spotted it with a cotton bud dipped in black mixed with a bit of aluminium. I have finished the front of the ring with a mix of dark brown and copper thinned with water brushed on the front edge and then smudged with a cotton bud.

Excuse the 1 to 1 scale finger it's the only way to get my phone to focus

AHH remember the good old days when we painted the exhaust collector ring and pipes bright copper colour. Also when detailing a cockpit interior meant painting the seat brown.

I like the looks of that. I for one painted the exhaust collector rings on both my Beaufighters copper during the last century

I think I have finished. Not particularly happy with the aluminium paint, I have never managed to get a metallic coat without some flaws. I am quite pleased at how the exhaust collector ring has come out.

Does look good though. Silver finishes are brutal for showing the tiniest of flaws.
