I'm looking for some 1/72nd US Navy sailor figures, preferably in whitehats but will take one in a helmet if that's all I can get!!! Does anyone know of ANYTHING available. I just need one. I can make a casting and adjust them before they set. I want to use a couple unfolding the wing of an F4F. Will look kinda funny with the wing hanging in mid air with no support. Bill

Don't know of any off hand, but Italeri do a set for the German E-Boat which could be converted. Alternatively, there are various nationalities of soldiers, and air and ground crew figures, available form Airfix, Heller, Revell and Italeri, all of which could easily be converted to what you want.
Although I work in 1/48th scale, I rarely find a figure I need, and mostly convert them from, for example, the Tamiya Panzer servicing crew, German infantry etc. A bit of carving and Milliput works wonders !
