Pennsylvania Railroad's Schuylkill Division East Reading, Pa. facilities in November, 1952. Four man crew of Sunday-only Train 685-686 discussing topic of the day while Class G-5 locomotive 1813 is utilizing the turntable prior to a water fill from the overhead spout. Sunday after Sunday we visited this event to record the last passenger train to make the run from 30th Street to Reading, in later years mostly headed by steam power brought over from the PRSL. Last run was October 4, 1953, and that was the end of that. Negative has a scratch from a lousy box camera.
