Returned to USAAF on the 30th of December 1943, no RAF service.
With 355th FS, 354th FG, 9th AF, shot down by Fw 190A-6 flown by unknown pilot and unit near Valenciennes, France on the 8th of February 1944.
Pilot killed.

Transferred to RAF from USAAF stocks in UK. To Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, England on the 18th of October 1943 for gyro gunsight trials. No RAF serial known and probably never allocated. Must have been returned to USAAF, since became F-6C with 109th TRS, 67th TRG, 9th AF and crashed from unknown cause 5 mi N of Eschwege Airfield R-11, Hesse, Germany on the 10th of May 1945.
Pilot survived and returned to duty, but aircraft was destroyed.

Flown to Prosnes (A-79), Reims, France on the 18th of March 1945 and used for trials to recover Waco CG-4A gliders with 'litter case' wounded soldiers from combat zones.
First operational pickup at Remagen, Germany on the 22nd of March 1945 and wounded flown to 44th Evacuation Hospital at Dünstekoven, near Miel, 20km west of Bonn, Germany.
