North American B-24J-1-NT Liberator 42-78613 (464th BG, "Breezi Wheezi") hit by flak on raid on oil refinery in Vienna, on the 16th of March 1945. Last seen attempting to fly to Zara with prop feathered. Off inventory on the 27th of June 1945.
 
North American A-36A 42-83813 (86 BG, 525 BS) crashed near San Stefano, Italy, on the 29th of June 1944. Pilot killed.
 
North American A-36A 42-84013 (86th FG, 526th FS) crashed from unknown cause at Formica di Burano, Italy, while on training mission on the 5th of July 1944. Pilot killed. Plane condemned after crash on the 8th of July 1944.
 
Lockheed PO-2W Warning Star Bu. No. 126513 (VXN-8) crashed on landing at McMurdo Sound on the 31st of October 1960. Hit snowbank causing landing gear to collapse and port wing and engine were sheared off. 8 injuries among the 23-person crew/passengers. Electronic gear was salvaged. SOC on the 1st of November 1960.

Not the best place to crash! 😳😲

Lockheed PO-2W Warning Star Bu. No. 141310 (VW-15) disappeared on the 20th of February 1958, 300 km north of Azores. No trace of aircraft or crew of 22 was ever found.
