The Italians built some beautiful planes. They seem to stress maneuverability for combat. I wonder how the Imperial Japanese air forces and Italian air forces would have fared against each other. Not the later, heavier IJN/IJA stuff. Ki-27s, A5Ms versus the later Italian biplane fighters, for example.
