Here is the second P-51B built in the same time as the one (P-51C/Mustang III) in GB#64. P-51B-7-NA, SN43-6913 from 336th FS/4thFG flown by Capt. Dominic S. Gentile during March-April 1944 to claim 3,5 Bf 109s and 4 Fw 190s. A classic

The build is beautiful - even flawless, but WHY does this model kit company have such WRONG-profiles on their HS Cuffed Props as seen on WWII Merlin Mustangs? I'm not a modeler, but Trumpeter and Tamiya have the same mistake on these prop blades. I know my WWII "stock" Merlin Mustang props and this one's just poor. ONCE AGAIN --- not the fauilt of the person who built this!

The build is beautiful - even flawless, but WHY does this model kit company have such WRONG-profiles on their HS Cuffed Props as seen on WWII Merlin Mustangs? I'm not a modeler, but Trumpeter and Tamiya have the same mistake on these prop blades. I know my WWII "stock" Merlin Mustang props and this one's just poor. ONCE AGAIN --- not the fauilt of the person who built this!

To my untutored eye it looks a bit oversized but otherwise not too bad, so can you please explain how it is wrong. Compared to this one, I'm not seeing it.

Your "builds" are perfect. This "negative" comment does NOT reflect on your abilities or skill...whatEVER ... I have a question: why do Tamiya and Trumpeter (maybe others...I'm not a modeler but I *AM* an observer and a lover of Mustangs for > 60 - not a typo - years)???

DO you modelers NOT complain to them ... I know that I'd raise HELL if I paid for kits that cost as much as they do today, and get an incorrectly created propeller. It's not like an antenna provided in a kit is a little too tall or too short - the Mustang props are unique and this rendering is just wrong.

I just remembered that a couple years ago, I made a collage of what Mustang's Cuffed Hamilton Standard prop blades look like and a photo of a completed kit (the same one as yours, it seems), and I'm attaching it. The photos of the actual REAL props as seen on the Collings Foundation's previous livery of their TP-51B/C (which, I believe has a new owner with its' new livery) are mine from maybe 15 yrs ago.

Agree with you, it seems that the base of the propeller blade is a little too wide... I should have rectified it/fixed it
