Revisiting this old post by Beserker, [A Dawn Like Thunder--the True story of Torpedo Eight]. I'm listening to it on Audible, which is great. But, with no paper, I miss the pictures and illustrations. On the other hand, I can repeat the audio if I miss something while otherwise occupied (like sitting in ATL traffic). The Naval Aviation Museum has a podcast series with "LUCKY" Kinsella and this one, The Battle of Midway Lost Air Group , pointed me to the book. It is written in a diary style, almost historical novel like. Very entertaining, interesting and well done. I sheepishly admit that I never knew much of VT-8 beyond the storied and tragic TDB attack. Enjoy!
