I recall reading where on CG-4's that were carrying Jeeps, they could unstrap the Jeep, drive it forward, and a pulley system would open the nose of the glider and let it drive out. On one crash landing in the ETO, the Jeep came loose and the nose opened with the pilot and copilot still in their seats, while the Jeep and its driver hurtled out before the glider quit moving.
