Some very rare footage of a Mitsubishi A6M5 Model 52 Zero taking off from a Hiyo/Junyo class carrier, probably in early 1944 or late 1943. This footage is quite short but nonetheless interesting as it's very hard to find footage of late war zeros operating from Japanese carriers. This is the first time I've ever seen an A6M5 taking off from an aircraft carrier
