Volume 13 - Engines Part 3

I am off on holidays on Thursday and would like to get up to and including Volume 20 done by then. That will only leave Vols 21, 26 and 27 that I will have to do when I return and by then the Vol 8 (Link trainer) should be here.

Volume 19 - Auxiliary Equipment. A reprint, not a revision. The cover needed a lot of damage (and a little graffiti) edited out.

The only change probably is that the price of each volume has changed from 6 shillings to 7s 6d and the addition of volumes 21 to 27 in the list of publications. So far I only have volumes 21, 26 and what I believe is 27 of the additional volumes.

The State Library has one volume (22 or 23 - their catalogue does not list the vol #) and I will get that on interlibrary loan next year. That will leave only volumes 8, 22 or 23, 24 and 25 missing as I do not have them, or access to them, yet.

I will be able to recreate vol 8 link trainer once the magazine version of the book arrives in the new year.

MiTasol MiTasol - would it be a problem to make high-resolution scans of the pages 38 to 40 (data tables for Britosl engines), as well as of the page 65 (schematics of the Hercules installation) of the manual 13, Aero engines pt.3, and post them here?

My apologies for the late addition of these three. Since xmas mother nature has decided that my wife and I need some unplanned medical adventures and, as most of you know, she will not take no for an answer. It has meant time for scanning and processing has been in short supply.

I still have not managed to get my hands on copies of vol 8 Link Trainer, vol 22 Air Navigation pt 1, vol 23 Air Navigation pt 2, vol 24 Engines pt 4 and vol 25 Engines pt 5.

Vol 21 - Aero Engine Practice - the cover came from a copy advertised on the net as my cover is "distressed" even worse than vol 27.

This one arrived on loan from the state library yesterday and, because the weather was miserable, I was able to scan and process in one day. You will see why large aircraft carried a navigator - no such things as a GPS connected autopilot way back then

The back of the green cover volumes has a pocket containing engine data sheets.

I have a compete set of those for volumes II and III only and have now scanned those. The original paper is a horrible dark brown and about 140gsm. When I processed them I have kept the photos as printed but the rest is black on white to make far easier to read.
