Funny how people whine about pineapple and Canadian bacon on a pizza, but are ok with bell peppers, anchovies and other nasty things.

Meanwhile, true pizza herasy is being committed and no one is speaking out!

At the Academy, a Dooley was required to save some brown gravy from his meal and apply it to his cake at dessert.
He liked it and in the future repeated it when possible.
There is no accounting for personal taste.

When I was at RAAF base Pt Cook there was one WO who put tomato sauce on everything including ice cream. That always turned my stomach.

Nope, that's a legit photo of an F4U-1 birdcage Corsair and the seller's date is right, that would have been 1943.

The photo is reproduced in a different format, so it's stretched out side-to-side, but the Corsair looks tidy. Though I have to wonder about the fighter in the background, on the left. Not a Hellcat, no airscoop below the radial inlet, but not a Corsair. Not a P-47, round inlet and not oval as it should be.

AI? Photoshop? Aging guy trying to piece out a photo online? Who's to say.

The quality of the photo is such, that details are hard to nail down.

That aircraft in the background is most likely a P-47C or early P-47D.
