I really like good, fresh fish -- salmon, swordfish, thresher, it's easy to see why they're up there -- but fresh, canned, frozen, it does not belong on pizza.

I just hate this AI hype train. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Why are people so eager to replace the real world with a fake, made up one?

We've seen already what a "success" social media was. This will even be worse.

Because they can't handle the real world and want to live in a fantasy. Also, in the case of much of it it is again about scamming people. In the case of the faked actress above, it also helps that you have total control and don't have to worry about what a real person thinks/does.

Elon Musk's Grok AI gave him some embarrassment (insofar as he's capable of embarrassment) with its vociferous Nazi rhetoric. That's the real problem with AI, the same as the old software issue: GIGO.

Well, if AI trains itself by hoovering up data, and it is gobbling up social media posts, it can be expected to spew a lot of really awful stuff.
Think of what could happen if AI got a hold of this forum. Is it trained to filter out sarcasm? Irony? I don't know.
