ww2 dot net is an Amazon associate, so any clicks or purchases via links earns this site some revenue.
So you'll see that caption added to posts or replies that has an Amazon link.
Good idea. It could combine with a HOLEistic approach.Should have a new name for this process; Artificial Semi Stupidity or ASS.
As others pointed out. It helps a bit with the costs of hosting the site. Horse introduced it a couple of years ago.Edit: wrote too soon.
ETA2: I am not an Amazon associate and have no business at all with Amazon. Why is this shit showing up at the bottom of my posts?
No problem, amigo - it took us a while to adjust to the ads when Horse introduced them.Oh, I get it now, thanks. Apologies for the rabbit-hole.
From what you write I understand that you did purchase the book. I remember seeing in the descriptions that the one about B-25 is printed in large fonts, which is obviously the case with all books by the same author. I wanted to purchase the Kindle-edition (cheaper) with the same idea: to study the complete BS and write a review. I wouldn't do it now. I don't believe the "author", possible readers or Amazon will response in a way we expect: to stop all that garbage being offered at all. I discussed with some of my friends (not aviation fans) the case. They correctly answered that millions of BS-items are sold on Amazon or elsewhere. If one buys clothing, shoes, electronics, you name it and sees that the product is garbage, what does one do: writes a negative review and eventually returns the product. Same with the books - Amazon doesn't care about the content and the mistakes. If it's not offensive, forbidden etc, they are fine. Can we tell Amazon that as aviation fans, with many professionals among us, we are offended by those "creations"? Probably not...
Great for you!Success!
I have received this

Thank you for your message.
Our Web Team has removed the majority of Avery A Hollis titles from the website; the remaining two volumes will be investigated accordingly.
Kind regards,"
Did you check the amazon site you are using? On amazon.ca the full load of BS is still untouched. If you want you can share what exactly did you write and who was the receiver. Or you can PM me - I'll try the same with amazon.ca"HelloGreat for you!Did you check the amazon site you are using? On amazon.ca the full load of BS is still untouched. "Hello
On your website you list a number titles written by "Avery A Hollis" whilst I have no idea of the quality of the writing in them the covers shown are very poor AI artwork which barely resemble the aircraft they are meant to represent.
I feel that these are very detrimental to scholarly works and should not be sold.
Please investigate and let me know.
Kind Regards"
That is the email I sent
Thank you, gentlemen! I'll do it.I suggest that others also send a copy of their letter to [email protected]. I have had very fast excellent responses every time so far from using that email. He obviously has a good team covering that email.
