I must to tell you that my initial thought was the same. Just a while later I got it the radiator is of the starboard nacelle. IMHO the matter of the angle the imagined pic was generated with.

If they were A-20s and regular bombs there is a VERY VERY REMOTE chance this was based on fact. The RAAF lost several A-20s from bombs exploding inside the bomb bay after release.
