'Almost started a war': Report reveals dark reality emerging as AI permeates civilisation
This is the sort of AI threat I am concerned about: not that AI becomes self-aware but rather that the humans using it become more dumb and simply trust its outputs without question.
I am also concerned about the AI bubble bursting and massively impacting the global economy.
And also the long term impacts as people, especially young ones stop using their brains and just blindly trust AI. I am already seeing a lot of this.

My wife often, when purchasing with cash, will give pennies or a nickel with the paper dollars so the change back will be even. I am amazed at the dumfounded looks of the young cashiers not knowing how to deal with the math. As my friend often says, "Like a cow looking at a new gate."

Without having seen the video, my guess is that they dispute that "AI" has intelligence at all.
Which is true, depending on your definition of intelligence.
But I saw the video and it's about how to look at AI to make you less anxious about it to take your job. It's bs in my opinion.

Regarding the 2 dollar bill, I went to the bank one payday, in 1959, and asked for them to get $50 in twos new money. The next week, with brand new $2s, gave them to a fellow classmate whose father owned an office supply store. His dad had them made into a note pad, cardboard backing and all. Later that month, after the senior prom, a friend and I with our dates went to The Roosevelt Hotel's Blue Room. When time to pay, I took the $2 tablet from my tux coat and began to tear off the proper number of bills. The waiter took them by the corner of the stack between his thumb and forefinger, holding at arm's length with his pinkie finger extended, to the head waiter, as if they were contagious. We watched the heated discussion between them and when resolved, our waiter brought the receipt.
That worked so well, years after active duty USAF, I cut office copy paper to bill size, and mingled them into new real $2 bills. With the guys, mostly model flyers, we would get gas and take out the stack of twos and peal off till a blank, crumple that one and throw in down saying, "That one didn't come out." We would watch while driving away, and the attendant always got on the phone holding $2 dollar bills.

So they are complaining that the chatbot is not friendly anymore, like:
I guess they don't understand that the models don't actually care. Their pattern recognition predicts the most likely next token (part of word) time and time again and the right probabilities make sure it's readable and maybe something you wanted. They don't "make" the chatbot be less friendly, it's just part of the training data.
