On the worlds driest continent providing water to AI instead of food is all about having your priorities right. Note that Firmus were very "evasive" on water usage.

Oh, I totally get the sentiment of not wanting a datacenter. Here in the Netherlands, they are taxing our powergrid already and given the dry summer we had and expected to happen more often, the water usage will soon be a problem as well.

To put it bluntly: Unfortunately many people don't seem to see that at one point they have to choose, either be able to grow crops, get fresh drinking water and live or create your fake AI pictures for your tiktok and starve.
