The Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a US single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing ground attack aircraft. Developed by the Fairchild-Republic around the GAU-8 Avenger cannon in the early seventies, the A-10 is supplied to the USAF which uses its heavy armor to hit ground targets of various types.
