Drone strike against an oil Depot in St. Petersburg and even unconfirmed reports suggest that the drone may have passed over a residence belonging to Vladimir Putin, on Lake Valdai, in the Novgorod region (NW Russia) as it flew toward St. Petersburg; 6 more CAESAR 155m self-propelled wheeled howitzers to Ukrainia (up to 78 during 2024); more Dmitry Medvedev B .S. ("ukrainians must make the choice between being part of Russia or death") and some other news:

Medvedev is a noise puppet who is useful now, but will eventually fall up three flights of stairs and out a window.

He should also follow Ukrainian на баба (grandmother) advise and issue Russian uniforms with sunflower seeds in the pockets.

Because Ukrainians will fight to the death before being Russian and they will take as many Russians as they can in the process.

Like it is difficult for some Americans to realise the allies, including Russia, fought WW2 against the Nazi's, not the communists, because in those days Nazi's were the greatest danger to world peace.

Now these historically (and many say mentally) challenged persons support the communists instead of Ukraine, despite the fact that the communists are currently the greatest danger to world peace, and the Nazi's in Ukraine are a figment of Putin's imagination.

IMO what we are seeing is payback - the western allies and peoples signed a pact with the devil when the USSR became one of the allies - but it was necessary pact. Only Stalin had the blood to spill and the territory to maneuver - and permit Hitler to dash Germany to pieces against a US+ GB+Commonwealth total-aid-supported-USSR.

Russians didn't handle anybody well .. from East Prussia to liberated Manchuria they raped, stole, smashed, intimidated and randomly executed anybody that stood in their way. Usually vodka was an ingredient.

What we see now with Putin is a replay of exactly the same scenario. Surprising?

He is as crazy/paranoid as Stalin was. He has Stalin's enormous resources available. He refuses to realize that the west is not going to buckle under and, that unlike Stalin, the USA and WESTERN industry are supporting 'the Nazis' - and his mortal enemy is a funny-man. Putin has no sense - only instincts and cunning. He is way out over his depth. Too blinkered to realize what he is destroying ... his own country. Putin is Hitler.

But this is the final act of WW2 and, in the west the war is only costing $$$$ not lives.

In Gaza, and now the entire Middle East, another war-issue is finally coming to a resolution - the Great War 1914-18.

Britain-France in Sykes-Picot Treaty, 1916, made commitments to encourage a Jewish Homeland in the soon to be conquered Ottoman Turkish Province of Syria.

Britain made similar commitments to King Faisal's desert Arabs for an Arab Homeland, in the Balfour Declaration, 1917.

Same land - two promises. Guess what?

I have no idea how these 'after-shocks' will be resolved. I know HOW I would like to see them end. AND, ... end they must because these are 20th century 'old' issues and the 21st Century is about Asia and we need to adapt to that.

Another aspect where the war is hurting. Both Russia and the world, but specially Russia.

Tangentially related given it emphasises the importance of supporting Ukraine to win:

Germany says 5 - 8yrs.

I have also seen Poland saying 1 - 3yrs.

The British are now using the term "Pre-war", though I would say that we are already in the war...it just hasn't reached peak intensity.
