My take away on the event, is that ISIS has seen how weakened Russia has become and I would not ne surprised at all if they do it again, either in Russia or Russian assets abroad.

ISIS hates Russia almost as bad as they hate the West and the U.S. in particular.

As for them "working" fir Ukraine or fleeing to Ukraine afterwards: not bloody likely.
First of all, Ukraine is a Christian nation and add to that the fact that Ukraine was part of the coalition that was fighting them and the Taliban.

And the part about "escalating the war in Ukraine" - yeah, sure. They've been trying to escalate for two years now.
