It's infuriating, contrasting the bravery on display in Ukraine compared to the pusillanimity shown by our own government.
Well, that claim that the Whitehouse told the UK can't allow Ukraine to use Stormshadows in Russia proper is a bit confusing.

The U.S. has absolutely no jurisdiction over the UK's policies AND just yesterday, Ukraine rained U.S. HIMARS down on a Russian training facility south-east of the Kursk region.

There is also this interview with State Department Matthew Miller on the subject:

The US could deny the export of electronics equipment vital to the missile's operation.

I laughed out loud at this piece. Drivers both civilian and military are going as fast as they can to reduce the risk of being hit by drones.

Then what happens
Despite the dangers, Russian drivers trying to avoid being attacked have received speeding tickets. That's because traffic cameras on the highway have recorded them exceeding the limit. Some motorists have tried covering their license plates to avoid the tickets, but traffic police are forcing them to remove them.

Unbelievable

All police believe revenue raising is far more important than any other function

Visit ISW, they've covered that - the UAF is quickly falling back in a certain fashion that's creating an unusual "bulge" in the Russian lines.

Ukraine is up to something, because they never fall back.
I had read that before but TWZ article also write about disarray in the UAF units rotation in that front. Could be a ruse? Maybe and hope so.

But also could be an out of control situation.

We must wait for further developments.

Just gut instinct, but I've got the feeling that Ukraine falling back around Pokrovsk is just tactical reality and not some sort of a clever ruse. I've seen it argued that Russian success in the area is due to concentration of forces - reports are that they've got a numerical advantage of 3:1 to 7:1 in the area, including at least three armoured/mechanised divisions and supporting 'local' forces. There are also a LOT of additional MLRS assets in the vicinity to interdict Ukrainian resupply. Ukrainian claims for MLRS destroyed have really spiked in the last 2 weeks.

Ukrainian sources are reporting that at least a couple fresh brigades are now going into the area, so that may slow/halt the advance.

Either way though, it's probably the most success Russia has seen in the last 18 months.
