I think they used the missiles with conventional boom 'cause their nukes don't work. It's a show of force. They're reminding us they have nuclear weapon delivery systems. The nukes, however, cost many dachas and super yachts to maintain. So they have the delivery van but the pizza box is empty.

Ok, so Russia issues threats and the West responds, to which Russia gets upset and issues more threats.

If it wasn't for people dying in Ukraine, this past 1,000 days would make for a dark comedy.

And I should add that Russia attacking Poland would be a big mistake, Russia attacking a U.S. base would be an epic mistake but attacking a U.S. base in Poland falls squarely into the "f**k around and find out" category.

I almost hope some Russian crazy does attack the US base in Poland because then the US government has no choice but to support Ukraine.

They can get away with it for another 60 days or so.

I think their nukes may work, but they're not willing to use them ... or that master-sergeants in charge of maintenance have been slicing and dicing launch-system components because some wiring went bad at home.

Trust me, 60, 90 or 120 days - an attack on a U.S. base will see serious consequences regardless of the administration.
Add to that, attacking a U.S. base within a NATO nation instantly activates artical 5 and the war in Ukraine will come to a violent conclusion.

And the conclusion will be nothing that Vlad had imagined almost three years ago.

Might a small incursion be tolerated?
I see USN warships being used as target practice in the Gulf and Red Sea by Iranian backed proxies with little more than a yawn.
Fortunately, our Aegis systems are knocking them down like a video game, but civil shipping hasn't been so lucky.

Proxy vs direct, non-treaty vs NATO, apples and oranges abounding. Yemen isn't Poland.

But the Houthis have the honor of being the focus of the F-35C's first combat missions.

So their f**kery has not gone unrewarded.
